This is a unique class that takes patients from the time that they are recovering from their injury, and onto the next stage which is to return them to their sport. There is a large leap from ending treatment in the clinic to making your first tackle in football or pivoting on a knee that has had a ligament reconstruction, when suddenly changing direction in a game of netball. The patient needs to know that the knee is not going to ‘break down’ under pressure and that they are ready to return to their sport with full confidence that they are fit and ready.
The class is run by two physiotherapists who use their specialist skills to take the client through ‘sports specific’ drills gradually increasing how much the client can do. We work on speed, agility, quickness drills, core stability, flexibility and specific skill demands for the given sport. We are finding that we are getting excellent results with clients returning to their sport fitter than when they left it, and due to the speed agility work, less likely to injure themselves in the future, and we are having a lot of fun whilst doing it.

"The Monday night "rehab" class became a feature of my life for 4 months in 2011/12, and what a great investment of my time it proved to be. Six weeks before attending, I'd torn an MCL in my left knee and at the first class I tentatively walked every routine; unable to sidestep, twist or turn. Yet within a month, the expert guidance and support of the physios - and helped in no small measure by the camaraderie of my other classmates - had me gently jogging in straight lines and skipping through rope-ladder exercises. Within 4 months, I'd skied Europe's longest black run (twice!) on a skiing holiday that I'd fretted about going on, but which my knee coped with superbly - thanks almost totally to the sports rehab class." Life can be challenging and we can sometimes lose our way or become stuck. Therapy is a unique opportunity to take a look into how we navigate our lives and how this may affect us, our relationships, our motivations and fears. My philosophy and practice focuses on helping people to develop a deeper understanding of themselves. In my practice you are welcomed to a supportive space, where you are able to explore and understand your feelings and emotions at your own pace and without judgement. Gaining this knowledge and conscious awareness enables personal development, growth and change.
It is very much a collaborative process with the mutual goal of working to establish pathways to achieve positive change and wellbeing. My approach to therapy is integrative which means that I work using various psychotherapeutic disciplines such as, Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Gestalt, Narrative and Creative Therapy. We are all different and unique in the way we think, feel and behave. Having a range of methods to draw upon allows me to tailor the way I work to meet your individual needs.
I have extensive experience in working with a wide range of difficulties on a short or long term basis with adults, children, young people and couples. Such challenges can range from self -esteem, anxiety and stress, depression, bereavement, trauma, addiction, relationship breakdown, and all forms of abuse. I am a registered member of The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).
If you would like to discuss anything in more detail, please email me to arrange a free initial and confidential telephone call.

Welcome to Dr. Nair Homeo House, a sanctuary dedicated to the principles of holistic healing through homeopathy. At the heart of my practice is the Law of Individualization, a foundational tenet of homeopathic science, which guides our approach to patient care. Being a third generation homeopath. I prioritise a thorough understanding of each patient as a whole—considering the mind, body, and life circumstances—thereby fostering a non-judgmental space where individuals feel comfortable to share their concerns openly.
The meticulous case-taking process involves assessing each patient within the context of their current and past physical and emotional health. This allows me to prescribe homeopathic remedies that are precisely tailored to each individual, activating the body’s inherent healing capabilities and facilitating a gentle yet effective return to health.
As a qualified and registered homeopath with extensive experience, I specialise in supporting teenagers and young adults through complex challenges such as addictions, anxiety, anger, phobias, eating disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and mood disorders.
Additionally, I have a robust background in treating chronic pain conditions including neck pain, back pain, neuralgia, fibromyalgia, migraines, and various dermatological issues such as eczema, psoriasis, acne, hives, dermatitis, keratosis ,lichen planus and allergies.
Committed to making high-quality healthcare accessible, I offer competitive rates and a sliding scale fee structure based on income, with special discounts available for students.
